President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the JFO area in the Donetsk region. The Head of State got himself acquainted with the work of the 66th Military-Mobile Hospital.
"Because of the coronavirus epidemic, our servicemen need to think twice about their own security. I am glad that there are no such patients yet. I hope our military will avoid this disaster. However, we must be ready,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President visited a mobile PCR laboratory based on a mobile hospital. It will be used for testing the military for coronavirus infection. The Head of State was told that more than 500 PCR tests for COVID-19 had already been conducted among the military personnel in the JFO area, all of them showing a negative result.
The President also got himself acquainted with the work of the mobile surgical room, which provides qualified help in the first 40-50 minutes after the wound. The Head of State examined the mobile X-ray complex and the mobile dental office.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy talked to the military and presented valuable gifts to the four defenders for their merits and exemplary performance of the tasks.
“We are grateful for your work, both the state and the people. We are grateful that you bring back to life our military heroes who protect our homeland, territory and most importantly our people. I know that you even treat civilians. Thank you very much for everything you do,” the President said.
During his visit to the hospital, Volodymyr Zelenskyy brought means of protection.
“We are now sending such means of protection to every region, to the hospitals where people with coronavirus are treated. Our priority is to provide the military with the means of protection as well,” the Head of State emphasized.
