During a working trip to the Donetsk region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the hospital where Ukrainian defenders undergo treatment.
The Head of State observed the work of the advanced surgical group, in particular the triage department, anti-shock ward, operating room and intensive care unit.
The President was shown a Scania evacuation bus capable of transporting 5 lying patients and 16 sitting patients at the same time. The bus, equipped with modern medical equipment, has already made more than 90 trips.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy talked with the military personnel and presented them with state awards. For their personal courage and selfless actions in the defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the defenders were awarded medals "For Military Service to Ukraine".
"Thank you for your service. I wish you a speedy recovery. All the best to you," said the Head of State.
The President also spoke with the medical staff of the hospital and awarded representatives of the medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Orders of Danylo Halytsky for saving the lives of Ukrainian defenders.
"I want to thank you and wish you, as part of the team that fights for Ukraine’s victory, the health that you give to our boys and girls," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
