In the course of the working visit to the State of Israel, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem.
The parties reaffirmed mutual intention to develop the bilateral political dialogue.
The parties also noted the existing potential for intensifying trade, economic and investment cooperation between Ukraine and Israel. Volodymyr Zelenskyy is hopeful that the bilateral free trade agreement, which Ukraine ratified in August 2019, would enter into force as soon as possible.
The Head of State paid special attention to the situation with numerous refusals to Ukrainian citizens to enter Israel.
“The resolution of this issue should remain the focus of the authorities of both countries. The parties should continue to work together for the final settlement of the situation in the near future,” the President emphasized.
