President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis. Mr. Vējonis arrived in Ukraine to attend the solemn ceremony of inauguration of the newly elected President.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Latvia for remaining a reliable partner and friend of Ukraine in a difficult period for our country. The President particularly noted the efforts of Latvia in supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state.
He emphasized that Ukraine's priorities in foreign policy and continuation of reforms remained unchanged. The President is hopeful that Latvia will continue to be a lawyer of Ukraine in the European Union and NATO.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the efforts of Latvia aimed to assist Ukraine in the reform of the defense sector. He assured that his attention would remain focused on the protection of foreign investors.
