On the sidelines of the COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow (Great Britain), President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Emir of the State of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The interlocutors discussed the possibility of intensifying bilateral trade, as well as mechanisms for implementing the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Ukraine to Qatar in April 2021, in particular in the food and investment spheres.
"One of our main common tasks is to intensify trade and economic cooperation," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the development of military-technical cooperation between the two countries.
The interlocutors also discussed the possibility and conditions of supplying Qatari liquefied natural gas to Ukraine.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the Qatari side for assistance in evacuating Ukrainian citizens from Afghanistan and stressed the importance of further cooperation in this direction.
The President reiterated the invitation for the Emir of Qatar to visit Ukraine.
