President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani.

The Head of State congratulated North Macedonia on the beginning of the presidency of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and noted the importance of the first foreign visit of the Minister in the status of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office to Ukraine.

"This is very important for us. We are grateful to the OSCE for consistently supporting our state since the temporary occupation of some parts of our territory in 2014. Today, the support of the Organization's mission is more important than ever," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.

The President of Ukraine is hopeful that during the Macedonian presidency, the OSCE will use all possible means to exert pressure on the aggressor, first of all, to stop human rights violations in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

"We need to increase the OSCE's attention to two key issues: forced deportation of women and children to Russia and conditions of detention of Ukrainian prisoners of war. These are very important things for us," the Head of State emphasized.

The Ukrainian President paid special attention to the importance of the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and invited the Macedonian presidency to participate in the given process: "We want the world order to be restored and stability to return to our region. I count on the involvement of the OSCE and North Macedonia in the implementation of the Peace Formula".

Volodymyr Zelenskyy particularly thanked the government and people of North Macedonia for the humanitarian and defensive support of our country since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.

In his turn, the OSCE Chairman-in-Office emphasized solidarity with Ukraine and its people and noted that the issue of security of our country is a priority of his presidency.

As Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani assured that his country would support Ukraine until the victory over the aggressor.
