President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

The importance of strict adherence to the ceasefire regime established on July 21, as well as of separation of forces and means from the delimitation line was emphasized.

The parties discussed the situation with the night shelling, which resulted in the death of four Ukrainian servicemen. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the inadmissibility of repeating this.

The Presidents of Ukraine and Russia also discussed the demining in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska necessary for the beginning of reconstruction and repair of the bridge.

They also discussed the importance of dialogue within the Trilateral Contact Group. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that he would protect the rights of all Ukrainians, no matter where they were, and there was no need to amend the Constitution of Ukraine for that. The parties agreed on a possible meeting of the state leaders of the Normandy format. The working groups are currently working on the documents to be signed at the highest level.

The issue of exchanging captives was also discussed during the phone conversation.
