The Head of State thanked for Canada's significant defense and financial support. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the adoption of a multi-year support program delivers a powerful worldwide message of unwavering support until Ukraine's victory.
The parties focused on the battlefield situation and the ongoing defense cooperation, particularly steps to bolster Ukraine’s air defense and the capabilities of the mobile anti-drone groups.
The President thanked for the new sanctions package and praised the Canadian initiative to form an international coalition for the return of Ukrainian children proposed at the meeting of advisors in Malta. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Justin Trudeau coordinated the next steps to develop this initiative at the highest level.
The President of Ukraine expressed gratitude for Canada's decision to provide financial support for the completion of the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide. The parties discussed the practical implementation of this decision.
The parties also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East.
