During the anniversary NATO Summit in Washington, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Keir Starmer.
The President noted the unwavering support for Ukraine from the new British government.
"Thank you for being with us since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. Thank you for all the military and financial packages and support. This morning, I read your messages about the permission to use your very powerful and high-quality Storm Shadow missiles on military targets in Russian territory. We are very grateful!" said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom discussed the practical implementation of this decision.
The leaders also focused on further expanding Ukraine's long-range capabilities in cooperation with other partners.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the UK's leadership in the Maritime Capability Coalition. The parties discussed the prospects for developing the Ukrainian Navy with the support of the UK.
Additionally, they paid particular attention to the results of the Peace Summit and the preparation of thematic conferences for the implementation of its decisions.
