President of Ukraine discussed bilateral cooperation with the President of Lithuania

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda.

The two heads of state discussed the situation with the spread and prevention of COVID-19, shared information on the impact of quarantine measures on the economy and the epidemic situation in Ukraine and Lithuania. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that our country had managed to reduce the increase in patients due to weekend quarantine. He thanked Gitanas Nausėda for the fact that in the EU, Lithuania raised the issue of providing the COVID-19 vaccine to Eastern Partnership countries.

The President of Ukraine informed the interlocutor of the steps taken by our state to achieve peace in Donbas and implement the agreements of the Paris Summit of the Normandy Four.

"I am grateful to Lithuania for its unwavering, firm support for our territorial integrity and sovereignty. This is extremely important for Ukraine," Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.

In addition, the parties discussed the possibility of holding a Conference on Reforms in Vilnius postponed due to the pandemic for the next year.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Gitanas Nausėda and his wife to pay an official visit to Kyiv.
