President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed condolences to the family of the deceased commander of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade Yevhen Korosteliov and honored him with the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the second degree posthumously.
“During the mine clearance operation, he was seriously wounded and unfortunately passed away… But stays with us forever. Glory to such heroes. We are very grateful to them. And our sincere condolences to the family, loved ones, relatives and children,” the Head of State noted, speaking with journalists in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska during a working trip to the Luhansk region.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked everyone who defends Ukraine and its territorial integrity.
"I want to thank every military, every volunteer who is now helping, working, protecting our country, our borders," he said.
"We want to end the war because we are losing the best people, the best sons and daughters who defend our country," the President stressed.
