Ukraine is becoming a country where everyone is comfortable and safe, and membership in the European Union has ceased to be hypothetical - it is a matter of time to be resolved by the end of this decade. This was discussed at a meeting chaired by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the strategy of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as on foreign policy vectors.
In particular, the parties discussed the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, its renewal, as well as integration into the EU markets and the Digital Single Market of the European Union.
The goals are European integration and achievement of the main criteria for full membership in NATO, synchronization with the European Green Deal.
The parties also discussed the formation and promotion of a positive image of Ukraine in the world as an important part of the country's foreign policy.
"Ukraine is an authoritative and responsible member of the international community, makes a significant contribution to global and regional security and stability, and is actively involved in counteracting the latest challenges and threats," the President said.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba stressed that within its powers his department will also protect the rights and interests of Ukraine abroad, preserve national identity and ensure the country's foreign economic interests through economic diplomacy.
Ensuring Ukraine's international support in restoring territorial integrity was also discussed.
