President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the heads and representatives of the parliaments of Belgium, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Finland, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, and the European Parliament, who took part in the Bucha Summit.
The Head of State expressed gratitude for the defense and humanitarian assistance provided during Russia’s full-scale invasion, as well as for the continued support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and path toward European Union integration.
“I want to thank each of your countries for helping us, for your visit today, and for the fact that from the very beginning, your nations and your people have stood with us. Things are very difficult in Ukraine – but they’re easier when we’re not alone. We are deeply grateful to your countries, both institutionally and to your societies, which join you in supporting Ukraine,” the President said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the importance of strengthening air defense, ensuring the supply of artillery shells, and increasing investment in the production of Ukrainian weapons, particularly missiles and drones.
The Head of State expressed hope that Ukraine would continue to remain a top priority on the agenda of partner countries’ parliaments.
During the meeting, participants also discussed enhancing coordination among partners to achieve a dignified peace. The President emphasized that the Russian dictator has no intention of ending the war or establishing peace, which is why the United States and partner countries need to increase pressure on the Russian Federation. He also noted that it is critically important for Ukraine to receive reliable security guarantees.
