President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with representatives of highway construction contractors in Ukraine regarding the specifics of building infrastructure facilities amid the full-scale Russian aggression.
The head of state expressed gratitude to the companies for the fact that they continue working in Ukraine even after the invasion by the Russian Federation, as well as for help and support in preparing the defense of Ukrainian cities and the highway network.
"All major construction companies did all this," he said.
The President emphasized the importance of implementing the plan, which provides for the construction of infrastructure facilities in accordance with wartime requirements.
"Today, infrastructure is becoming a branch, which is not related to comfort, but to necessity and defense capability of the state due to the fact that there are weapons, grain, and metallurgy. As for railways, roads, bridges and tunnels, we need to move to the most secure process so that we are ready for any missile strikes and blockades," Zelenskyy said.
