President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed Decree No. 676/2021 on the appointment of Oleh Synehubov as Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration.
Prior to his appointment, Synehubov headed Poltava Regional State Administration.
The head of state said that working in Poltava region, Synehubov was able to have the work well in hand at the regional state administration and achieve significant results in the region, including completing and launching long-delayed unfinished construction projects, successfully passing all waves of the coronavirus pandemic and providing one of the best vaccination rates in the country. In addition, a number of new projects were launched and the region's development strategy was adopted.
"I hope that Kharkiv region will face no less noticeable changes and, as a result, significant achievements and development," Zelenskyy said, handing Synehubov the official certificate.
The President also stressed the importance of appointing a professional leader in the region on the Ukrainian border.
Synehubov, for his part, said that he understands what a great responsibility awaits him in this position, and assured that he will make efforts for qualitative changes in Kharkiv region.
"I am familiar with the situation in Kharkiv region. I know about the problems that have accumulated. I have a positive experience of working in Poltava Regional State Administration, so I will implement it, taking into account the peculiarities of Kharkiv region," he said.
