Yesterday, on the eve of the Day of the Department of the State Protection, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated its employees and presented them with orders and medals.
The Head of State noted that their service often goes unnoticed by most Ukrainians, yet it is indispensable for ensuring the work of diplomats, Ukrainian state institutions and officials, as well as the visits of foreign delegations.
"Security, especially during wartime, is one of the greatest values. I am grateful to all of you for ensuring the safety of our state institutions and our partners who visit Ukraine. I would also like to thank you for your willingness to change exactly as the tasks require. I know that much has changed within the Department, and I am confident that these changes are for the best," the President said.
The attendees honored the memory of the State Protection Department employees who gave their lives for the state and the safety of Ukrainians.
