During a working trip to the Kirovohrad region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced the new head of the regional state administration Andriy Nazarenko.
Speaking at the presentation of the Development Strategy of the Kirovohrad region for 2021-2027, the Head of State noted that Andriy Nazarenko will directly implement it.
"We understand that the most important thing for unlocking the potential of your region is to attract investment. And this person knows how to do it, and has a successful experience in it,” the President said.
The Head of State warned Andriy Nazarenko against repeating the story of the previous head of the Kirovohrad regional state administration, with whom law enforcement agencies are currently working.
"I want to say that we are really building a new country today. Honest and transparent, where the law is one for all. And for us there are no untouchables, even if they are people appointed by the President of Ukraine. On the contrary, attention to such people is even greater," Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
The President wished the new head of the Kirovohrad regional state administration "to remember this every day in office".
Andriy Nazarenko thanked the Head of State for his trust and clear tasks for the development of the region.
He noted that his first priority will be maximum transparency, openness and publicity of the regional authorities to build an effective system of communication with people.
"There are a lot of talented and hard-working people living in the Kirovohrad region. Our task in matters of personnel policy is to use and unlock the potential. We will help open up local businesses and attract large investors to unlock the potential of land, subsoil and production, which remains idle. The time of stagnation in the region must end. We must return to systemic development," the new head of the regional state administration noted.
According to Andriy Nazarenko, real decentralization and strong communities should become tools for the region's success.
He also named improving the people’s perception of the region among the priorities, so that they feel "proud of their homeland".
"The region is tired of the endless waves of negativity. We need to work hard to hear good news from our region every day - news that will make us proud of the success of our children, the feats of our defenders, the success in sports and culture, the opening of new industries and unique events," the new head of Kirovohrad regional state administration emphasized.
