President examined e-Estonia electronic administration system

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy examined e-Estonia electronic administration system in Tallinn.

The Head of State visited the exhibition pavilion of the Estonian Center of e-Estonia Electronic Administration Systems.

Director of the Center Liina-Maria Lepik told about the projects that are being implemented via e-Estonia. The Republic of Estonia started implementing digital services in 1994. Currently, 99% of government services in this country are provided online.

For his part, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine was implementing a similar project - “A State in a Smartphone”.

Liina-Maria Lepik spoke about the E-residence system, which simplifies the process of obtaining a residence permit. She also focused on the security of information storage.

"It is important to decentralize information so that all data is not stored in one cloud," she said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy tested the KISS (Keep it simple and short) system, a service that simplifies the submission of information in Estonia's electronic services system.
