During a working trip to the Odesa region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy got himself acquainted with the work of terminals and investment projects of TransInvestService (TIS).
The Head of State inspected the Neptune Cargill grain terminal station. It is one of the largest export sea terminals for grain cargo handling in Ukraine.
TIS CEO Andriy Stavnitser told the President about the operation of the terminal, the procedure for accepting cars with grain and checking for overload.
Andriy Stavnitser also said that a railway station with the necessary infrastructure is located on the territory of the port.
The CEO of TIS stressed the importance of ensuring a level playing field for private and public stevedoring companies. The latter, receiving state support and access to funding from the state budget, have a competitive advantage in the market over private companies.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured that ensuring fair and competitive conditions for entrepreneurs is one of his main goals as President.
"It is very important to create fair and competitive conditions for people who want to develop entrepreneurship in Ukraine. And we are achieving this goal step by step," the Head of State said.
During a working trip to the Odesa region, the President also met with Oleksandr Oliynyk, head of the Yuzhny state commercial port, who said that the port's trade turnover in the first half of 2020 reached 10.6 million tons, which is 61% more than in the same period last year.
