During a working trip to the Lviv region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy inspected the completion of the reconstruction of a pre-school educational institution in the village of Zymna Voda, which is being completed in the framework of the “Great Construction” National Program.
"This is one of the brightest examples of cooperation between the local community and the state. Because the main funds were from the State Fund for Regional Development, as well as from the local community," Head of the Lviv regional state administration Maksym Kozytskyi said.
The facility has already been commissioned. It is designed for 160 children and provides 42 new jobs.
The kindergarten will start operating on October 1 this year. It will completely cover the need in the area.
In total, five kindergartens are being built in the Lviv region, five schools are being completed and another one is being built from scratch. Nine ER departments will be created and five sports facilities will be renovated. One of them - the Scythian stadium - will be able to host competitions at the level of the European Youth Championship.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy was informed that 242.8 km of roads of state importance and 74.8 km of local roads are planned to be built and reconstructed in the framework of the Great Construction program in the region.
According to the Lviv RSA Head, one of the brightest examples is the reconstruction of the road to the urban-type settlement of Skhidnytsia.
"It shows how you can build the region by investing. Thanks to this road there is a development of tourism in the whole region. This is a huge added value," Maksym Kozytskyi noted.
Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko said that the Verkhovna Rada had passed a bill that would allow allocating additional UAH 30 million for the repair of the bridge near Skhidnytsia.
In addition, the repair of the Lviv - Pustomyty - Medenychi road section has been completed, which will significantly facilitate the transport connection between Lviv and Drohobych.
Maksym Kozytskyi stressed that this year the Lviv region had received a record amount of funds for road repairs - UAH 5 billion.
"We are engaged in regional development. We try not to concentrate funds under one district, but to distribute them among the territories so that people in the Lviv region feel comfortable everywhere,” Maksym Kozytskyi said.
"Every such facility, every construction is our steps towards a state of normalcy for Ukraine. A few years ago, it was hard to think that the problems with infrastructure in our country could ever end. We are now finishing them," the Head of State said.
