During a working trip to the Luhansk region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy got himself acquainted with the course of repair of the highway of state importance R-66 Demyno-Oleksandrivka checkpoint - Svatove - Lysychansk - Luhansk.

Reconstruction of 35.7 km of this highway began in August 2020 in the framework of the National Program "Large Construction". The cost of the repair will be UAH 759 million.

As Head of the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) Oleksandr Kubrakov reported to the President, on the R-66 highway, which turns into T-1316 road to Zolote checkpoint, the lower layer is laid on the entire repaired section. The upper layer, marking and infrastructure are still to be completed.

Also, according to him, the road from Severodonetsk to Stanytsia Luhanska is completed.

In May this year, the President, while on a working trip to the Luhansk region, stressed that the road Severodonetsk - Stanytsia Luhanska is one of the priorities, because it is very important both for Ukrainians living in the controlled part and for those living in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

Oleksandr Kubrakov noted that in total it is planned to repair more than 300 km of roads in the Luhansk region. Pursuant to the President's instruction, priority is given to the roads leading from the checkpoints to the region and beyond.

"We will complete all roads of state importance next year," the Head of Ukravtodor reported on the work done and plans for 2021.
