President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy keeps the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection under control. On Saturday, June 13, he gathered the Cabinet of Ministers and law enforcement agencies for a conference call to get the latest information on the spread of the disease and the measures to prevent it during adaptive quarantine. The Head of State expressed concern over the number of those infected.

"For the third day we have a much higher number of laboratory-confirmed cases of infection. I asked you to determine the reason and I expect forecasts and decisions from you," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov noted that the increased number of hospitalized with symptoms of coronavirus infection, the number of pneumonia cases and the increased number of detected cases of infection is a cause for concern.

"There is no reason to panic, but there are "bells" that require a reaction," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal supported Maksym Stepanov and suggested deciding on a model for strengthening control over adaptive quarantine measures.

"We need to carefully check shops, markets, public transport - places where crowds are possible. The institutions and platforms that are supposed to ensure the security stipulated by the Cabinet of Ministers are responsible for these crowds,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Denys Shmyhal noted that international experience demonstrates the effectiveness of administrative responsibility.

Chief of the National Police of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko reported that more than 12.5 thousand administrative protocols were drawn up for violating security requirements during the quarantine, the courts ruled on fines in the amount of UAH 4.5 million total.
