President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the leadership of the National Academy of Sciences discussed the prospects for the development of the institution and the assistance the state can provide to scientists. The meeting was attended by President of the National Academy of Sciences Borys Paton, First Vice-Presidents of the Academy Volodymyr Horbulin and Anton Naumovets, Chief Academic Secretary of the Academy Vyacheslav Bohdanov.
"We have a difficult situation and many priorities, but I do not want to be the President who says that we will not do anything until the war is over. Problems need to be solved in parallel, otherwise Ukraine will not develop," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the level of national science, the outflow of young scientists abroad and the opportunities to attract them to work in their native country.
