In Kyiv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Federal Foreign Minister of Germany, Johann Wadephul.
The Head of State thanked him for his visit to Ukraine during these important and significant days for our country, in particular to participate in the IX International Veterans Forum, and for all the support from Germany. It is important that the German Federal Foreign Minister plans to visit several regions of Ukraine where the situation is difficult due to Russian shelling.

“We thank Germany and all your people for such great support. You are the greatest in terms of support in Europe. We are glad that we have such friends,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President briefed him on the consequences of cynical Russian attacks targeting civilian infrastructure and our people. Johann Wadephul expressed his condolences to the families of those killed and to all those affected.
They discussed support for Ukrainians ahead of the winter, as Russia wants to use this difficult period to inflict as much pain as possible on our people. Strengthening Ukraine’s air defense is a priority. The Head of State noted Germany’s leadership on this issue and its efforts to provide as much assistance as possible despite all the difficulties.

A separate focus was on ways to protect routes for transporting Ukrainian agricultural products, which are facing significant difficulties due to Russian attacks.
The talks also addressed the work of the teams on an agreement in the Drone Deal format, with the aim of signing the document in the near future.
They also had a detailed discussion about support for Ukraine's European integration. Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Germany for all the important steps in this direction.
The President of Ukraine and the Federal Foreign Minister of Germany also discussed preparations for a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in Kyiv and diplomatic work. In particular, the Head of State briefed him on contacts with envoys of U.S. President Donald Trump.
