The President Discussed Support for Ukraine with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys.

The Head of State expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by Lithuania, particularly for strengthening air defense, investing in Ukraine’s long-range weapons production, and training warriors.

“We are grateful to your people, President Gitanas Nausėda, and your entire team. Your people have shown significant support from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.

The main topic of the meeting was the continued defense and security support for Ukraine. In particular, the parties discussed the establishment of joint drone production in both countries.

Ukraine needs military assistance and the unity of its European partners on the path to a just and sustainable peace. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Kęstutis Budrys also discussed the strengthening of EU sanctions against Russia in order to force the aggressor state to end the war.

The President highlighted Lithuania's support for Ukraine on its path to European integration. Both states share a common vision regarding the urgency of opening as many negotiation clusters as possible this year.
