For the third week in a row, the situation with the spread of COVID-19 in Ukraine has stabilized. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at the traditional conference call on preventing the spread and overcoming the consequences of COVID-19 chaired by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"We are on a so-called plateau. There is a slight decrease in the number of detected cases by almost 25,000 compared to the previous week," the Prime Minister said.
The Head of State raised the issue of payments to the families of health workers who died from COVID-19. Currently, the Ministry of Social Policy has received 41 packages of documents for insurance payments, 33 of which were funded.
"This issue is very acute. I know that there are many more deaths, and everything needs to be checked. At the same time, bureaucracy needs to be simplified. Maybe people just don't know how to submit these packages, or maybe it is too complicated. People who have lost a family member must receive payments. You don't just have to sit and wait for documents. Initiate a dialogue with such families yourself," the President stressed.
Chief of the National Police Ihor Klymenko informed that 766,000 hryvnias had already been paid for violating the mask regime in public places.
The officials also informed that preparations were underway for the beginning of vaccination in the spring.
