During a working trip to the Ternopil region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the presentation of the Regional Development Strategy until 2027.
"Every time during my working trips, I see how diverse and colorful our country is. And this is really its greatness and strength. We have 25 beautiful regions that are completely different from each other. Each has its own characteristics, advantages and, unfortunately, disadvantages. But every region is an integral part, without which a strong Ukraine is impossible," the President said in his speech.
According to the President, the principle of synergy should become part of Ukrainian philosophy and national idea.
"We have to understand that together we are much stronger. And when each region is as successful as possible, then together we will be invincible," he said.
In order for each region to succeed quickly, regional development strategies have been prepared. But, as the Head of State noted, any vision or strategy is worthless without people who will implement it with daily hard work.
"That is why the elections on October 25 are so important for the country and every citizen," Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
At the same time, according to the President, according to a recent poll, 65% of Ukrainians do not know the exact date of the local elections, and even more people do not know the system under which they will take place this year.
"Once again I want to appeal to all citizens of Ukraine. Please understand one simple thing: on October 25, you will choose people who will receive broad powers and significant funding for your region. And the well-being and comfort of your village or city, your district will depend not only on the President, not only on the parliament and the government, but also on the local authorities. The further development of each region will depend on the people you choose on October 25,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
Speaking about the advantages of the Ternopil region, the Head of State first of all mentioned the powerful food industry and agro-industrial complex, the potential in the production of organic products, good prospects for the recreational industry.
"And, of course, this is a tourist sphere, thanks to which the Ternopil region will be interesting both for Ukrainians and for tourists from all over the world. In my opinion, having visited your island of lovers, they will forever fall in love with your city and your beautiful region," the President said.
