President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed support for increasing the production of domestic drones, developing infrastructure for training UAV operators and establishing special units in the Ukrainian army. The Head of State said this during the end-of-year press conference in Kyiv.
"I am positive about increasing the production of drones. And establishing special units. There should be infrastructure for drone operation. The best one, not Soviet, but very, very simple to use very quickly," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The President also emphasized the importance of changing the logistics system and eliminating bureaucracy in the process of supplying drones to the military at the front line.
"But we will get over it – logistics. Our warriors will receive domestic drones for their brigades," the Head of State emphasized.
He said that next year Ukraine plans to increase UAV production, including the production of 1 million FPV drones.
"As for production, we will produce one million drones next year. We will make a million. We will do everything to make it happen. That's how it will be," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
In addition, according to him, the production of artillery and shells will be ramped up. The President noted that there are some issues in this process, but they need to be addressed.
"There are many different issues. We have to work on it. We cannot afford to relax," the President summarized.
