President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a traditional meeting with representatives of the government, law enforcement agencies and relevant agencies on the epidemiological situation in the country and measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported on the latest data on the spread of the infection, emphasizing that today another anti-record of infection was recorded - 1106 people. Among the leaders in the number of newly diagnosed patients are the Rivne region, Kyiv and the Lviv region. The incidence rate rose to 64.1 people per 100,000 population. According to the Prime Minister, attention will be paid to Zakarpattia, Volyn, Lviv and Bukovyna due to the occupancy of beds in hub hospitals to ensure their sufficient quantity. In Zakarpattia, the occupancy rate is 64%, in the other three regions - more than 40%.

Denys Shmyhal also pointed out that the Chernivtsi region has significantly improved its incidence rate and has confidently moved away from leadership in the spread of COVID-19 due to tough measures taken by the region for several months.

The President asked about the fulfillment of his task of keeping Ukraine in line for the coronavirus vaccine when it is produced.

"Our diplomatic contacts and world resources report that the vaccine is already being produced in several countries. Even if it is ready next year, Ukraine should be among the first countries to be able to buy the vaccine. We need to think about this now. The whole world is lining up," Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.

Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov informed that pursuant to the instructions of the President, he consults and keeps in touch with companies and diplomats from different countries studying the information.

In addition, the Head of State was informed that 301 residential buildings have already been restored after the fire in the Luhansk region.
