In Ottawa, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska met with Governor General of Canada Mary Simon and her husband Whit Fraser.
The Head of State thanked for Canada's firm stance in support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"We are grateful to you, the Canadian government and the entire Canadian people for the sincere and powerful support that we have felt particularly since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. We are grateful that thousands of our people have found refuge in your country and you are taking care of them with all the warmth," the President noted.
In the language of the Inuit, the indigenous people of Canada, the Governor General wished the Ukrainian people vigor in their fight and not to give up despite all the difficulties.
