President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged officials to abandon the practice of having the photos of the Head of State in the office and have the photos of their children instead, so that they can look into their eyes when making a decision.
"We will build a country of different opportunities. Where all are equal before the law, where there are fair and transparent rules of the game. One for everyone. And for this purpose, people who will serve the nation must come to power. And I really want your offices not to have my images. Because the President is not an icon, not an idol, the President is not a portrait," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said from the rostrum of the parliament during the inauguration.
It bears reminding that the Head of State announced the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation, called on the people’s deputies to dismiss the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Prosecutor General and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, and urged the government to resign.
