Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha and Advisor to the Head of State's Office Oleksandr Bevz, met with Head of the group of global leaders, The Elders, and former President of Ireland from 1990 to 1997, Mary Robinson. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the conference "United for Justice. United for Nature," dedicated to holding Russia accountable for ecocide crimes in Ukraine.
Andriy Sybiha expressed gratitude for the attention that The Elders group devoted to supporting Ukraine in the face of ongoing full-scale Russian aggression. He emphasized the importance of the visit of the group's representatives, Ban Ki-moon and Juan Manuel Santos Calderón, to Ukraine in August 2022. Special thanks were also extended to Mary Robinson for her active role in drawing attention to environmental crimes committed by the Russian aggressor in Ukraine.
The deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine discussed with Mary Robinson the next steps in the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and preparations for the upcoming meeting of diplomatic advisors, scheduled for the end of October.
Andriy Sybiha stressed the need for collective efforts to restore sustainable and just peace in our country.
"Such peace should entail the full restoration of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. This is the only way to restore a world order based on rules," the deputy head of the Office of the President said.
