Full integration of Ukraine into the European energy sector is impossible without the support and cooperation with Polish partners - President

Ukraine and Poland must strengthen the energy security of the European continent, in particular by diversifying the sources of energy supply. This was emphasized by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his speech at the Ukrainian-Polish Economic Forum in Odesa.

"The deepening of economic ties and economic integration with the states of the European Union is a path that Poland once passed successfully. And today we are moving in the same direction, counting on the support of Poland," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

He called cooperation in the field of energy, aerospace, defense, tourism, as well as the IT industry one of the important elements.

"Together with Poland, we must strengthen the energy security of the European continent. This interaction is an important element of common security and diversification of energy supply sources. And full integration of Ukraine into the European energy sector is impossible without the support and cooperation with our Polish partners," the President said.

Also, according to him, Poland plays a leading role in the Three Seas Initiative, as well as Via Carpatia and Via Baltica infrastructure projects.

"I am convinced that we can and should be close partners in the implementation of these and other important regional infrastructure projects," the President of Ukraine said.

President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, who also spoke at the Ukrainian-Polish Economic Forum in Odesa, noted that Ukrainian railways and seaports could become part of the transport corridor between Poland and Ukraine as an important element of the international transport network.

In particular, according to him, such a transport corridor will have the potential to transport goods from Western Europe and Turkey, as well as to service trade flows from East Asia. Therefore, it is very important for Ukrainian and Polish businesses to work together to develop the concept of this corridor and invest in it.

"I have no doubt that we will have greater cooperation than before, and that we will even increase our domestic and foreign markets," the President of Poland said.
