On June 6, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine Tobias Thyberg and First Lady Olena Zelenska presented an art zone dedicated to the millennial friendship between the two countries. The event was dedicated to the celebration of Sweden's National Day.
"Ukraine and Sweden are united not only by the common events of the past, but also by warm, friendly relations in our time. Expanding our friendship and cooperation, we are launching a Ukrainian-language audio guide at the Vasa Museum in Stockholm. This is the most popular museum in Sweden," said the wife of the President of Ukraine during the presentation.
The Vasa Museum is a maritime museum located in the capital of Sweden, on the island of Djurgården. It presents the "Vasa" ship - the only ship in the world of the XVII century, which has been preserved to this day. The Ukrainian audio guide at the Stockholm Museum became the eighteenth audio guide launched as part of the initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine.
Those present at the presentation of the art zone had an opportunity to be photographed in it and move to different parts of Sweden with the help of augmented reality (AR) technologies.
"Today we present a walking route through the corners of Sweden right here in the center of Kyiv. These corners are art zones dedicated to millennial friendship, diversity, gender equality, innovation, environmental friendliness and barrier-free environment,” said Swedish Ambassador Tobias Thyberg.
From June 6 to July 1, everyone will be able to enjoy the walking route from the National Museum of History of Ukraine to the Friendship of Nations Arch. The route presents the key values that most unite Ukraine and Sweden. The initiative was presented in partnership with First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.
