At the Ramstein Base, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
The key topics of the meeting included the need to bolster Ukraine's air defense and involve NATO countries in procuring Ukrainian weapons under the Danish model.
The President emphasized that the shared task of the partners is to ensure a strong position for Ukraine to achieve a just and lasting peace. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mark Rutte discussed potential formats for leveraging NATO's platform to reach this goal.
The President also highlighted the importance of launching NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) initiative to effectively coordinate military aid and training of Ukrainian troops.
Additionally, the parties discussed the work of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format and its contribution to decision-making aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
