The Victory Plan and the Support for its Implementation from Partners: the President Met with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the newly appointed Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Noël Barrot, who paid his first visit to Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked France and President Macron for supporting our state.

“I am very pleased with the result of our last meeting with the President. Today, he is one of the leaders who support us. This is a crucial period for us, a difficult period, so it is very important to maintain unity among the leaders around Ukraine. And I am grateful to him for this huge work,” the President said.

The Head of State noted the importance of consistent military assistance provided by France to our state to counter Russian aggression, as well as the importance of training and equipping the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

As a follow-up to the meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Emmanuel Macron in Paris on October 10, the interlocutors continued discussing the Victory Plan, which is a bridge to the implementation of the Peace Formula through diplomacy and the organization of the second Peace Summit.

“Thank you very much for supporting the Plan. And of course, we really need help, as well as active work with partners to consolidate support, especially in the issue of invitation to NATO and strengthening our army, defense capabilities, our domestic production,” the Head of State emphasized.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the Minister for France’s successful organization of the thematic conference on October 17 in Paris, which focused on the first point of the Peace Formula, Nuclear Safety, in which France is a leader.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the further implementation of the Peace Formula and the prerequisites for the second Peace Summit.

By early November, Ukraine will prepare a joint peace framework that will also take into account the constructive positions of the Global South. This should maximize the timeframe for the second Peace Summit.
