In Budapest, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer.
The main focus of the meeting was the implementation of the Victory Plan, which the President presented to the British Prime Minister last month in London.
“Thank you, Prime Minister. We’ve had frequent discussions and made some very important decisions to strengthen Ukraine. I thank you and the British people. We take great pride in the bilateral relations between our nations. Thank you for standing with us during this difficult period,” said President Zelenskyy.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the critical importance of supporting Ukraine with long-range weaponry and allowing its use against military targets on Russian territory.
He also stressed the importance of supporting Ukraine’s defense industry, particularly the production of long-range UAVs and missile-drones.
The President expressed gratitude to the United Kingdom for its recent decision to provide Ukraine with a $3 billion loan at the expense of the income from frozen Russian assets. This funding is part of a $50 billion commitment from G7 nations to bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
