Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva had a call with European Policy Advisor to the Federal Chancellor of Germany Undine Ruge.
During the conversation, the parties paid the main attention to the course of Ukraine's implementation of the European Commission's recommendations, which are necessary for the acquisition of EU membership.
Ihor Zhovkva informed the German side in detail about the achievements of our state along this path and emphasized the intention of the government and parliament of Ukraine to complete the implementation of the recommendations by the end of the current year.
"After the implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission, we expect a proper assessment of Ukraine's progress by the European Union," Ihor Zhovkva said.
The interlocutors discussed the security situation in our country and the state of the energy industry given the periodic massive missile attacks on the entire territory of Ukraine.
The Deputy Head of the President's Office separately thanked Germany for the military assistance provided and called for active participation in the reconstruction of our country and ensuring security guarantees.
"We expect active involvement of Germany in the process of providing reliable security guarantees for Ukraine," Ihor Zhovkva said.
