The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine expects the COVID-19 peak incidence in early May. After that, anti-crisis measures will be introduced to support the economy. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal told this to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the traditional meeting on overcoming the coronavirus epidemic.

During a meeting, the parties discussed in detail payments to doctors and medical staff currently involved in the fight against the spread of the disease. The additional payments will take place at the end of April, when doctors will receive basic salaries.

The government also explained the reasons for the delay in receiving data on the number of coronavirus cases from seven regions. A technical error occurred in one of the regions, equipment was rebooted somewhere, but on the whole, many Ukrainians with suspicious symptoms decided not to go to the doctors at Easter. The government informed that all data will be included in the general statistics.

Additionally, the President thanked the National Guard for its assistance with discharging cargo from the airplanes delivering protection means.

"I am grateful to the Head of the National Guard and I would like you to convey my sincere gratitude to the whole personnel," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
