Support for Ukraine and Preparation of the Security Agreement: Meeting with the Assistant Secretary of State at the Office of the President

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak met with Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien.

Andriy Yermak thanked President Joseph Biden, his administration, both houses of the U.S. Congress and the entire American people for helping our country.

"This is a very important decision for Ukraine, for our people. We are grateful for endorsing the aid package," said the Head of the Presidential Office.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the preparation of a security agreement between Ukraine and the United States and coordinated steps to further develop this document.

They also focused on tightening sanctions against the banking sector, defense industry, and nuclear industry of the aggressor state, Russia, and using frozen Russian assets for the benefit of Ukraine.

Andriy Yermak informed about the preparations for the first Global Peace Summit to be held in Switzerland in June this year.
