Summarizing the Months-Long Joint Effort: Andriy Yermak Had a Conversation with Jake Sullivan

Within the framework of the ongoing dialogue with allies, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak had a telephone conversation with the National Security Advisor to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan.

The parties talked on the eve of the US Senate vote that passed the long-awaited Ukraine Aid Bill.

Andriy Yermak emphasized the importance of a regular and productive dialogue with the American side, which has been quite intense over the past few months. After all, it was the period when the fate of the crucial matter of assistance to Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression had been decided.

The Head of the Presidential Office thanked Jake Sullivan for the effort the Administration of the U.S. President was making to reach an agreement in Congress and approve the necessary funding for Ukraine as soon as possible.

The parties also discussed the current situation at the frontline. Andriy Yermak shared information on the consequences of the Russian shelling of Ukrainian civilian and critical infrastructure. He reiterated the need to strengthen the air defense of Ukraine with modern Western systems.

The Head of the Presidential Office expressed gratitude to U.S. President Joseph Biden, his team, both chambers and parties of Congress, and all American people for the consistent support of Ukraine in its fight for freedom, independence, and territorial integrity.
