In Kharkiv, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting on the security and energy situation in the city and the region.
During the event, the participants discussed preparations for the heating season in the region.
The President emphasized that he expects a clear plan for protecting the Kharkiv region's skies and restoring energy infrastructure.
Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Andrii Hnatov, Commander of the OSGT Khortytsia, briefed the Head of State on the operational situation in the Kharkiv region and within the area of responsibility of the Group.
Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Management Board of the PrJSC Ukrenergo, spoke about the course of work on engineering protection of energy sector facilities and announced the timeframe for overcoming the energy deficit in the region.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, and Ihor Terekhov, Mayor of Kharkiv, informed the audience about the preparations for the autumn and winter period in the region. According to Ihor Terekhov, 22 cogeneration units and 31 modular boiler stations have already been installed. In total, the city needs more than 140 energy generation facilities, which will provide 340 MW of power.
In addition, Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, reported on energy decentralization and the connection of cogeneration units.
