Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva met with Policy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland Gerard Keown. The meeting was a continuation of the dialogue between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Taoiseach of Ireland Simon Harris.
The key topic of the talks was the organization of conferences on Peace Formula points and preparations for the second Peace Summit. Ihor Zhovkva acknowledged the involvement of the Irish representatives in all four events already held and thanked Ireland for its willingness to continue active assistance in Peace Formula implementation.
The discussion also focused on the bilateral agreement between Ukraine and Ireland signed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Simon Harris in September. During the meeting, the parties agreed on further steps for its implementation.
Ihor Zhovkva and Gerard Keown also discussed the European integration of our country.
“We are grateful to Ireland for its leadership in supporting Ukraine's European integration. We count on its assistance in the earliest possible start of actual negotiations on our country's accession to the EU,” the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office stressed.
Ukraine's reconstruction was a separate topic of conversation. Ireland was invited to patronize the reconstruction of one of the affected Ukrainian cities or regions.
