The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska and the First Lady of Poland Agata Kornhauser-Duda visited the Museum of Science of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv) and watched its interactive exhibits. The visit to the Museum took place in the framework of the official visit of President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda and Agata Kornhauser-Duda to Ukraine.
During the tour of the Museum, Olena Zelenska and Agata Kornhauser-Duda got themselves acquainted with the history of its creation, visited exhibitions dedicated to Polish scientists Maria Skłodowska-Curie and Jan Czochralski, and had an opportunity not only to view, but also to test the interactive exhibits.
The Museum of Science was established in close cooperation with Polish scientific, educational and research centers. Almost half of the exhibits for it were specially made by the Polish partner of the Museum - Strong Interactions company, which also worked on the establishment of the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw. Consultants and specialists from Poland were involved in the creation of the Museum of Science at all stages of the project - from concept development to training of staff to work with visitors.
"I am very glad that we visited the Museum of Science. This is a successful example of friendship and cooperation between Ukraine and Poland," Olena Zelenska said.
All exhibits of the Museum of Science are not only interactive, but also mobile: they can travel and promote science in the most remote corners of Ukraine. Agata Kornhauser-Duda noted that the Polish Copernicus Science Centre intends to establish regional centers in the near future, and Polish specialists will cooperate with Ukrainian colleagues in this project.
