On the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin, the First Lady met with the foreign partners of the Olena Zelenska Foundation.
During a meeting with UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashemi, the President's wife noted that the Foundation's goal is to at least double the number of houses for large foster families and to build 20 more houses this year and next year. In total, 60 large foster families have been left homeless due to Russian aggression.
The United Arab Emirates actively supports the Foundation's projects.
"Thanks to you, we were able to provide 7.5 thousand schoolchildren from frontline and border communities with laptops for studying and support the medical infrastructure. The 50 ambulances you have provided are now saving lives in the frontline and de-occupied regions, particularly in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. Special thanks for your help in building 10 houses for large foster families as part of our “Address of Childhood” project," Olena Zelenska said.
