First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, along with two dozen teenagers from 16 cities of the country, chef Yevhen Klopotenko, UNICEF Representative Munir Mammadzade, and head of the National Public Catering Association Orest Stepaniak, took part in the final of the healthy eating game "HraYimo".
“HraYimo” is an interactive culinary and educational game for teenagers and young people about healthy eating. Almost 25 thousand children from 39 communities took part in it over the year.
"This game is another important facet of the school nutrition reform that Ukraine is implementing. This is the only way to raise a generation with healthy eating habits - consciously, with the participation of all family members. Of course, it is difficult to always follow the ideal of a "healthy plate". But it is necessary to know it, because the right decisions begin with our knowledge," the President's wife said.
The game participants were involved in various interactive formats, and the winners of the two semifinals competed in Kyiv for the title of the best experts in the principles of balanced nutrition.
The "HraYimo" project was created on the initiative of the CultFood program by chef Yevhen Klopotenko with the support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine as part of a program to promote a culture of healthy eating among children and youth.
