During a joint visit to the United Arab Emirates with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, First Lady Olena Zelenska visited leading rehabilitation centers in Abu Dhabi.
At the Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH), she explored the comprehensive patient treatment approach implemented at the facility. The hospital provides personalized care, offering all types of rehabilitation for adults and children, as well as intensive therapy and long-term care.
"This year, Ukraine aims to establish rehabilitation departments, including outpatient facilities, in every healthcare institution. This is one of the key elements of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Internal Resilience Plan. We must adapt and enrich international experience, including that of the UAE, to meet the needs and ensure the well-being of our people," the First Lady stated.
Olena Zelenska also visited one of the ZHO (Zayed Higher Organization) centers, which supports people with disabilities. ZHO provides rehabilitation, education, and vocational training, as well as employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. These centers host a flower workshop, chocolate and cheese factories, clothing and accessory production, prosthetic manufacturing, and a 3D printing lab.
"As Ukraine implements its National Strategy for Barrier-Free Accessibility, it has much to learn and adopt. And above all, the understanding that the capabilities of one person strengthen the capabilities of the entire society,” the President's wife summarized.
