During an official visit of the President of Ukraine to Austria, the First Lady Olena Zelenska visited the Albertina Art Gallery, where on her initiative in June 2020 an audio guide in Ukrainian was introduced.
The audio guide for Viennese Albertina was the first Ukrainian audio guide created in the framework of Olena Zelenska's project to spread the Ukrainian language in the world and introduce Ukrainian-language audio guides in the most significant places.
During a visit to Albertina, the President's wife met with the gallery's management and personally thanked them for their help in implementing the project.
"I am very happy to finally visit the Albertina Gallery and personally thank its management, as well as all those who participated in the creation of the Ukrainian-language audio guide. Albertina will always be special to me: it was the first to respond to my proposal to create an audio guide in Ukrainian and implement it," Olena Zelenska said.
The museum management showed the First Lady the halls of the gallery. During the tour, Olena Zelenska had an opportunity to test the audio guide and hear a story about the masterpieces of world classical modernism from the museum expositions of Albertina in Ukrainian.
The project of the First Lady to create Ukrainian-language audio guides in world museums is continued. In addition to Albertina in Vienna, audio guides in Ukrainian have already appeared in the National Carpet Museum (Baku, Azerbaijan) and in the Latvian National Museum of Art (Riga, Latvia). The introduction of Ukrainian-language audio guides in the Museum of Art History (Vienna, Austria) and the Maritime Museum of Montenegro (Kotor, Montenegro) are planned for the near future.
