On the occasion of the Knowledge Day, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska made a video address to the students at the Schools of Superheroes during a lesson of gratitude to the Defense Forces.
The lesson was attended by 500 children from 17 hospital-based schools and more than 80 of their teachers, educators, and psychologists.
“All people have challenges, troubles, and hardships in their lives. But how we respond to them is what makes us heroes and superheroes. How we fight. You are superheroes because you fight bravely, you hold on, and you also learn. You want to study and learn new things,” the President's wife said.
She noted that Ukrainian warriors on the frontline protect children so that they can study and receive treatment.
Olena Zelenska also addressed doctors, teachers, and parents of young patients.
“Our children are heroes, and we need to be heroes for them. This is how we support and protect each other. Let us learn and teach these things. Because this is what everything is based on. This is how victory is gained – in treatment, in education, and on the frontline,” the First Lady said.
The School of Superheroes is a state project implemented under the auspices of Olena Zelenska. This initiative enables children undergoing inpatient treatment or rehabilitation to study in medical institutions.
A total of 17 Schools of Superheroes have already been established. Since 2024, the Olena Zelenska Foundation has been contributing to their arrangement. As a result, new classes have appeared in the hospitals of Lviv, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Kryvyi Rih, Odesa, and Rivne.
