Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba met with the newly appointed Head of Cooperation Programs of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Stefan Schleuning.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the challenges faced by the communities and regions of Ukraine in the context of the war.
"Despite constant shelling and daily Russian terror, Ukraine continues to develop, implement reforms and stay on the path of integration into the European family. Today, it is important for all levels of government to work together, consolidate, unite and understand a single goal: Ukraine's victory," said Oleksiy Kuleba.
For his part, Stefan Schleuning praised the role of Ukrainian municipalities in preserving the country's resilience during a full-scale Russian invasion.
The Head of Cooperation Programs of the EU Delegation to Ukraine emphasized the potential of local self-government and the government to rebuild Ukraine. He also emphasized the importance of good multi-level governance and public administration reform for Ukraine's progress on the path to EU membership.
